Which is cheaper RBA or Air Asia to KL? PART III

Thanks to Alai and c tau gaban for your comments. Ok noted! Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays! Got that!

Does help a lot. So in my pursue again to find the cheapest flights to KL between the 3 contenders

RBA Vs Air Asia Vs MAS

This time I chose a new test dates 2 weeks from now:

Fly 25th August 06, Friday back 28th August 2006, Monday (A Weekend Away)

I was astounded with the Return Prices..Here goes!

1. Air Asia: B$163.98 ($39.99+34.00 [<---hey this went up too! part I post $29 sja] to KL $39.99+ $50.00 from KL)

When you register with Air Asia, there would be a pop up saying you need to pay $12 for Airport Tax in Brunei. So need to take note of this in your total flight cost (Total=B$163.98+B$12=B$175.98)

2. RBA: B$260 ($168 +$92 Tax) - B$272 inclusive of airport tax

Same as before.. no changes to any extra charges. Need to consider B$12 for airport tax. However, they dont have flights for dates tested. They got 25th Aug friday coming back 30th Aug Wednesday.

At least free flow of drinks and food is okay jua..

MAS: B$527.00 return ($415.00 + $112 tax) <---- SHOCKER!! where's the $118?

Final Verdict wise Air Asia is the cheapest among the 3 wit $176 per person, RBA on a stable price of $260 whilst MAS on a whoopin' $527! What the?

Bah ih lajutah ke KL murah kali ah! Below $200 on Air Asia is worth it!

Ok last testing kan close the books on this:

Fly 28th August 06, Monday back 30th August 2006, Wednesday (A Weekday Away)

1. Air Asia: B$199.98 ($75.99+34.00 [<---hey this went up too! part I post $29 sja] to KL $39.99+ $50.00 from KL)

When you register with Air Asia, there would be a pop up saying you need to pay $12 for Airport Tax in Brunei. So need to take note of this in your total flight cost (Total=B$199.98+B$12=B$211.98)

2. RBA: B$260 ($168 +$92 Tax) - B$272 inclusive of airport tax

Same as before.. no changes to any extra charges. Need to consider B$12 for airport tax.

At least free flow of drinks and food and closer terminal?? I think!

3. MAS: B$277.00 return ($165.00 + $112 tax) <---- That's more like it!! but mana kan $118 return ani?

Final Verdict Air Asia remain the cheapest among the 3 wit $212 per person, RBA on a stable price of $272 and on 3rd place is MAS difference by only few dollars with $277! Phewwww!

Yeah and that's all folk for now. Klu kan ke KL end of the month with Air Asia baiktah booking awal!

Salam,

jes wanna update, it seems that MAS airline is cheaper than air asia, ok it only applies ONLY wen its not on school holidays.. example last week i went to kl wit spending $150 ($150 + $12 = $162) return tickets.. well i would say air asia is much way cheaper bt look at the bright side, it comes with FOOD and nda DELAYED!!! so if u think MAS airline is mahal, u shud do ur homework again my friend..hehe emosi..

btw, im not a msian, org bunai kali ah.. im not against Air Asia, i do fly wit em, bt only wen i experinced the delays, dude if u are on a plane for 2 hrs..u really need FOOD.. hehe
cheers.. jes a comment..
